The Miami Dolphins and Rebuilding Together Broward have been working on Ashley Lea's Hollywood home for three months.

"The roof was caving in in almost every room of the house, the carpet that had been down for 30 plus years was moldy, the walls were a mess, " said Sandra Einhorn of Rebuilding Together Broward.

The leaks in the ceiling were so bad that only one of the three bedrooms could be lived in and that room was shared by Ashley's mother Leslye, a war veteran,  and her grandmother who suffers from colon cancer.

Ashley, who's been sleeping on the futon in the living room, will finally have a room of her own.

"I'm really grateful for it cause my house has been messed up for a while and knowing that so many people have donated and volunteered their time to fix it is really awesome," said Ashley.

Dolphins safety Tyrone Culver has been part of the renovations from the beginning . "We went in and remodeled the house and just to see how much has been done, the way people have put in the effort and the way it came out is really awesome," said Culver.

"We replaced the roof. We did significant structural work as well to address the rotting wood from the rain. We replaced the floors and we painted the interior and the exterior," said Einhorn.

Rooms To Go stepped in as well and donated all the new furniture.

Ashley says she barely recognizes her house and she couldn't be happier to finally have a room of her own.
